Client Introduction

Cummins Inc. is an American multinational corporation and global leader in power technology, designing, manufacturing, distributing, and servicing diesel and natural gas engines, electric and hybrid powertrains, and power generation products. Founded in Columbus, Indiana in 1919, Cummins employs approximately 75,500 people and sells its products across approximately 190 countries and territories. In 2023, Cummins recorded sales of $34.1 billion.

Cummins operates across five segments: Engine, Components, Distribution, Power Systems, and Accelera. The Power Systems business has seen significant growth driven by rising demand for power generation — particularly for data centre applications. With operations spanning multiple continents and a highly diversified customer base, Cummins requires a sophisticated, large-scale enterprise data and analytics infrastructure to support decision-making, financial reporting, and performance management across its global organisation.
