The longer version
I grew up in India and built my career working across some of the world’s largest organisations — Cognizant, Dell Technologies, MetLife, Aetna, Gilead Sciences, Cummins, Elexon, Crawford & Company, and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme among them. Over more than 20 years, I worked my way from developer and data engineer through to product owner and solutions architect — learning how large, complex systems actually work from the inside.
That experience spans financial services, healthcare, energy, insurance, and enterprise technology. I have delivered programmes that touch millions of users, process billions of records, and carry significant regulatory weight. I understand what it means to build something that has to be right — not just functional.
The move to independent consulting came from a combination of things. I wanted to work across more industries and more types of problem than any single employer would allow. I wanted more control over how I work — closer to clients, more directly accountable for outcomes. And I saw a real gap: the startups and scale-ups that need senior product and data expertise rarely have the budget for a full-time hire at that level, but they need the thinking. That is the gap I work in.
I work as an advisory retainer partner. That means I am consistently available to a small number of clients — thinking alongside founders and product teams, helping them make better decisions about what to build and how to use their data, and staying involved long enough to see the work actually land.
How I think
I am a systems thinker. That means I do not look at product decisions, data architecture, or AI use cases in isolation — I look at how they connect, what they depend on, and what happens downstream when something changes. It is how I was trained working on large enterprise programmes, and it is the instinct I bring to every engagement regardless of company size.
I am also detail-oriented in the way that matters: I care about precision in how things are defined, not just how they are presented. Vague deliverables, unclear requirements, and undocumented assumptions are where most projects quietly fail. I push for clarity early because it saves significant pain later.
And I am direct. I would rather tell a client that something will not work — and explain why — than agree with a plan I do not believe in. The value of having a senior thinking partner is that they tell you what they actually think, not what you want to hear.

The best way to find out if we are a good fit is a conversation. No pitch, no obligation — just a direct discussion about what you are building and where I might be useful.
